My 396K Class

First, I like this class so much. It teached me a lot on English Studying. Our teachers Rebecca and Toni are so kind. They did their best to help me when I met difficult problem in my works. In this class, these are 7 projects. Every project included mostly assignment, blog work, blog response, and peer review. Some projects are interesting, and some of them are hard. My favorite project is project 5 which need a group to do a wiki. In my group, we choosed the topic which is American culture. In my work, I wrote about graffiti. I thhought it is very interesting. The great graffiti is always attract me. I did a lot of research on internet which let me know graffiti deeply.

Writing

Do you think that writing in Chinese is more "colorful?"
In China, there are many forms of writing. Chinese poems are totally different with any kinds of poems. In ancient age, the poems of Tang dynasty are very beautiful and colorful. However, by old and famous writers dead, the young writers couldn’t restore writing in modern time. The books are always about the love in high school and college. Even the way of writing and language is good. It also can’t make people happy and comfortable. The young people need write deeply.
That is to say, when you are writing in Chinese, what images do you form in your head?
I would like free to write anything what I am interesting in. I want to limit by format, write statement and topic sentence. I don’t like that.

Chinese characters are very beautiful - when writing with these characters, tell us what is going on in your mind. China has a long, rich, history - how does this long, rich, history affect you as a writer when you are writing in Chinese?
Because of the long history of china, I can add many things in my article. But I also have my own opinion in my article, I don’t write too many facts in my essay. I prefer to write my opinion about everything which is happening everyday.

How do you feel when you must write in American English?
I feel ok. American writing is totally different with Chinese writing. We need to learn from the beginning. American writing needs correct format, main idea, and topic sentences. I must learn it well because I have been here which different with China. I need to change my way to think about the problem. At first, I need to study English.
In ENGL 396, many of your projects have involved the use of images, photos, and/or videos. Did using these items help you to express your ideas better in English? Why or why not?I have added photos in my essay. It makes my essay look better. Sometimes, when I use images and videos in my article, it will make my essay become more colorful and powerful

The writing

As a student in China, we needn't to research too many. Sometimes when our teachers tell us to do some research about some articles, we will find the answer from books. We also go to websites to research. Due to the development of internet, we can search anything we want. Now I am in USA. The classes in America are totally different with China. If I ready to write a article, I need to write the outline first, and make sure the topic, fing strong support ideas. Sometimes I also need to go to library to do research and go to internet to find the information. I think it is very useful to improve our skills of writing. I will know what I writed clearly and more about what I writed. The MLA format is the correct format in writing class.

Jay-Z became the top rap singer after 1996. He is not only a good singer but also a good music maker. Except this, Jay-Z's company which called Roc-A-Fel also is the best company in black man's musical field.

Jay-Z's name is Shawn Carter, another name is Sean Carter. He was born in Dec 4th, 1970 in New York. In 1996, Jay-Z's first album which called 《Reasonable Doubt》is liked by many people. It is thinked his best album by all the people. In Sep 18th, 2001, he issued a album which is called 《The Blueprint》. It is his best album in 20 century. In this album, he singed《Renagade》 with Eminem. It is said that his last album which is called 《The Black Album》 is issued.

My life in US

My life in US is very different .It took me many good experience.When I arrive at the airport. Everything is different. I will start my new life .
In US , basicly,I will do all the things by myself.I bought my cellphone ,I went to bank alone.At the beginning, I haven't had many friends. The reason my be I didn't live in UV . I can't play my favriout sport whenever I want . But now everything changed, I have my friends .And the number is growing up everyday. I plays basketball everyday .It make me happy and strong.I lived with my roommates. It's very kind . We are chatting everyday, And make fun to each other.I like the life .
